GWDF Harp Workshop: Fit for a Queen [ZOOM]

June 13, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 4:50 pm CDT

Fit for a Queen: English Country Dances for Lever Harp

Elizabeth I of England loved to dance, and her Renaissance court was the birthplace of English country dancing. Cindy will share popular country dance tunes in this workshop. Harpers will learn by ear/sight-read music in this workshop; please download the workshop PDFs before we begin. You’ll receive a lead sheet, accompaniment suggestions, and a starter arrangement (as PDFs) for each tune. You can print your PDF pages (remember your music stand) or use the PDFs on a mobile device (i.e. tablet). All lever harps are welcome at this live Zoom workshop; we’ll be in the key of C, or 1-2 sharps.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate (and beyond).
